To make this contact print I took an older photo that I had taken last year, opening up the possibility of comparing contact printing and how the photo looked out of the printer. First, I took the picture into light room and picked a black and white filter that I liked. Then, I transferred the photo into photoshop and inversed it to make it a negative. After I printed it out I exposed the light sensitive paper to light with the negative on top of it (test strip first, then final). Then I went through the chemical process to develop the photo. The process, although more extensive than just using a printer, was not difficult at all. The only thing that was fairly difficult was the light exposure and knowing how many seconds to expose the paper to and also choosing the correct light levels when making the negative. I enjoyed the process, it's very calming and doesn't take a lot of editing which I enjoy.
