Object Empathy.
The assignment that I chose was asking me to find an object that I felt bad for. I felt bad for a bent spoon because it's useless after it's bent (if you can't bend it back). A bent spoon just appears sad to me. What I did was I brainstormed a list of objects I felt bad for. It was mostly things that were ruined and so no longer useable. Things that I chose that wasn't a bent spoon was bubble wrap, chewed up shoes, and the wood chips at a playground. Out of all the photos I liked this one the best because of the position the spoon is in. It's standing up which was a difficult victory for me. I also enjoy the shadow, it has an interesting shape, just as the spoon does.

I chose the assignment "Blow Up" which was asking me to take a photo of a place I pass by frequently, I chose to take a photo of my house from the outside because I feel that I never actually look or notice my house from this perspective. I kind of wanted to make the photo look like it was on a newspaper. I did this mostly because I know that when I look at a newspaper, the first thing my eye usually goes to is the photo and it just seemed interesting to me to make it seem that the front of my house would catch my attention if it was on the front of The Durango Herald. I liked this photo the best because of the grain on it made it look older and printed. I also enjoyed the contrast of light and dark. I think my favorite part of the photo was my dog, Willie Nelson, because he looks very happy and cute.
